Well it's good to know
It is good to know that people are paying attention to my blog, and that the search engines are working properly. In my post from Thursday, January 4th, titled "Making money online -- fact or fiction?", I had talked about the company Reviewstream, and said my opinion of them is that they are a scam.
Well, lo and behold, I'm checking my stats one day and notice that I have had a visitor to the blog from Riga, Latvia, and never having a visitor from there, or even knowing really where it was, I delved deeper into my stats to find out more. I found out that Latvia is somewhere in Europe, Northeastern, from what I can tell from the map, and I also found out later that Riga is the capital of Lativia. Another thing I found was that this visitor was searching for "Reviewstream". Hmm, coincidently, I also got an email from Reviewstream on the same day. From their email, I take it they didn't like what I had to say about Reviewstream. Here's the email I recieved...
Hello Olivia,we investigated your reviews processing. We received two reviews from you :- Kenmore 2/3/4 D Sewing Serger ;- Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. And they were rejected due to the not specific items to get the regular rate.No one of your reviews were not published. You can check this by making a search using your penname as a keyword or by following the link :Please correct us if we're wrong or correct your statement on the blog.Regards,ReviewStream.com
So, I went to their site and did their search, and found zero results. Yes, I did sign up there back then as "That Crafty Girl". I couldn't find any reviews written by me. Perhaps they weren't there about a year ago when I tried them out, and I was just dreaming that I saw something I wrote, or perhaps they have yanked them since. I don't really remember, don't really know, and will never know now. But to give them the benefit of the doubt, I have corrected my statement on my blog, but as to thinking they are a scam, well, that's my opinion, and opinions are like assholes, in that everyone has one, and of course, everyone is entitled to theirs as well.
Olivia
