Productive

pro·duc·tive: \prə-ˈdək-tiv, prō-\
adjective
1: having the quality or power of
producing especially in abundance
2:
effective in bringing about

3 a: yielding results, benefits, or profits b: yielding or
devoted to the satisfaction of wants or the creation of utilities

4: continuing to be used in
the formation of new words or constructions

5: raising mucus or sputum (as from the
bronchi)

Oh yuck on number 5! The kind of productive I'm referring to here today is more of a number 3 I guess. What I'm getting at, is that today is turning out to be a productive day for me. I'm multi-tasking here, and getting a good amount of tasks accomplished. In other words, I've managed to keep my ass out of the Pogo website so I can get some stuff done! Yes, I've ended up reviving my addiction to playing online games at Pogo again. It's fun, but it doesn't get stuff done!

So today, as most Sundays are around here is laundry day, and I started out with a nice mountain of it today! But while I've been doing the laundry chores, I've been getting other things done as well. Had the oven on cleaning cycle, the dishwasher going, and pre-sprayed my bathroom down with Tilex, wiped down the kitchen then swept and mopped the floors throughout the main part of the house. That's like what... five or six different tasks going all at once?! Cool! Work smarter, not harder! Once I was done with the floors I went and finished off the bathroom, then unloaded the clean dishes from the dishwasher. Still switching laundry loads, I did some dusting and then I decided to sit on my butt and finish off the last sleeve on a sweater that I have been crocheting. But even though I was sitting on my butt, I was still multitasking. While crocheting, I sat at the computer, and watched an episode of
Celebrity Apprentice online that I had missed on TV. After that, I went on the hunt for the first episode of Moment of Truth, which is a new reality TV game show that aired this past Wednesday on Fox. My sister was telling me about it last night on the phone, and I wanted to see if I could find any video coverage of it online. I managed to find an 8 minute condensed clip of the first show at YouTube, so I watched that, and decided it will be part of my Wednesday night line up! You can view the entire episode at Fox on demand, but I didn't bother attempting to download the player you need there, because it never worked for me on my old computer, and I don't want to clutter this one up with a bunch of useless crap!

Anyway, now I've got my sweater in the wash, being felted. I should have taken a before picture of it, but apparently I wasn't thinking at the time! It's green though -- I used the same green wool that I made the little felted Mary Jane slippers out of, that I posted previously. I hope it looks good after the felting process, because it sure was cute before! It's a little hoodie sweater. Aww, simply adorable! Anyway, I'll post a pic here when it's done... if it turns out okay! ;-)

I'm amazed!

Yippee!! Next Sunday the new Amazing Race starts!!! I love that show!! I was just checking out the teams over at their site. My, my, my, there are some colorful characters running this season! Cool! Should make for an entertaining race! Only one married couple that I could see -- a couple of lesbian ministers. Looks like the other couples are dating and using the race to see if they want to spend the rest of their lives with their race/dating partner. There is also a sister team, a brother/sister team, a father/daughter team and a grandfather/grandson team. And it looks like we have a new Barbie doll best friends team this season again too. I read somewhere while I was searching around trying to find the website that there will be no non-elimination days this time. I like that! Game on!

All caught up!

After trying numerous times to view a recap episode of Survivor on the CBS site, I gave up trying. I'm so sick of hearing that monotone voice tell me that the file is currently unavailable. I don't think the recaps at their site are ever available! So instead, I went over to trusty old youtube and managed to watch the episode from last Thursday night there. I already knew what happened and who was voted off, but it sounded like a good episode, and I still wanted to see it. That whole immunity idol part was pretty cool! When my friend told me about it, she neglected to tell me that Frosty was in there like a dirty shirt helping Todd and Amanda tear down roof tiles of the arbor the idol was on. And the eating challenge! Did you see Courtney spit that eel out of her mouth at the end? I don't think she swallowed a bite! Maybe that's why she's so damned skinny... she doesn't swallow her food! She's really looking skeletorish now! Gotta eat girl! Like Papa Smurf said on the Survivors strike back blog, she only eats four grains of rice! Too funny!

Not Surviving so well

So another Thursday night has come and gone. I'm pissed off at myself because again, I fell asleep and missed Survivor this week. I saw the very start of it, where they recap last weeks show, and then I was out like a light, snoring for the next hour. I woke up about 10 minutes after it ended. What a drag. I had missed it two weeks ago too, and I've still not managed to watch the full episode at the CBS site, so I don't imagine I'll get to see this weeks episode either. I really have to try to stay vertical on my show nights. And now I can't sleep! Go figure!

What the hell???

Grrr!!! I'm pissed right now! It's Tuesday night and time for The Biggest Loser to be on, but instead, hogging my channel 2 is some special about Idaho Senator Larry Craig, trying to convince America that he's not some gay dude having sex in public washrooms. I certainly don't give a rat's ass whether he's getting his dick shined in a men's room or not. And then on channel 12, the other station that is supposed to have The Biggest Loser on, there's some interview with John Stamos and his life on TV. Again, who cares?!! I hate it when shit like this happens. These stations better be airing The Biggest Loser at 9 or I'm afraid of what I might do to my TV!!!

Tonight's the night!!!

I'm so stoked for Survivor China starting tonight. I'm almost giddy about it! Yes, I know I may be a tad overexcited about it, but I don't care. I love that show!!!! I hope it's on for longer than an hour too. That's such a kick in the face when you've waited so long and then with the gobs and gobs of commercials, before you know it the damned show is over for the week. I haven't joined the Fantasy League at the site, but I should go do that. I did it once before but did miserably at it. Maybe I'll go give it another go right now!

WAAAAA-aaaaahhhhh....

Arrrgghh!!

Last night while I was watching The Biggest Loser, I decided to get horizontal, which was a bad, bad idea! I ended up falling asleep and missed part of the weigh in at the end of the show. I woke up in time to see the red team was going to have to eliminate another member, but then I fell asleep again and didn't see who they eliminated. CRAP!! So now I have to go to the website to see who was kicked out of the gym. That just sucks! I have to remember while I'm watching my shows to never get horizontal again! But at least I was awake to see the reaction of the two other teams when Jillian was there with her black team. That was too funny!

New shows!

One thing I really love about this time of year is the new shows coming on TV. As you know I'm a huge reality TV freak, so I'm pretty happy to once again be watching The Biggest Loser, and am impatiently waiting for this Thursday's premier of Survivor China!

Survivor this season looks like it's going to be pretty interesting, but from checking out the players at the website, I can't seem to pick out who will be the underdog, and I always cheer for the underdog! They all look pretty fit, and the oldest person is only 47. Now mind you, he does go by the name of Chicken, so that may be something to think about it. We'll see on Thursday!

And last week's premier of The Biggest Loser was a great show, and I love love love that Jillian is back! I was so sad to see she had been replaced last year. Mind you I did come to like Kim, but I still prefer Jillian. I couldn't believe that blue team last week. They lost 265 pounds between them. Wow! That's almost the starting weight of most of the women this season! I thought poor Bob was going to have a heart attack when his team was weighing in, and then when Kae lost a whopping 20 pounds and Jerry finished them off with an enormous 31 pounds, it was just insane!

I checked out the website to see how the black team did with their loss, and they did okay, but not spectacular. I'm sure Jillian will get them whipped into some fierce competition for the other two teams though, once they are all at the same place and able to work out in the gym instead of making do with what's available to them right now.

I really wish the Amazing Race was starting up again soon too, but I guess we'll have to wait until the new year before we get to watch that. That sucks. But I'll be waiting!

My main man Earl!

Well, another series of Survivor is behind us. Survivor Fiji ended with the season finale show on Sunday night. I couldn't blog about it while it was happening because I watched it over at a friend's house. We had a little Survivor party!

I knew it all along that Dreamz wasn't going to give that damned immunity necklace to Yau Man as promised, but I was still so shocked when he spat out those words, "I'm gonna keep it"! Poor Yau Man, although he really has nobody to blame but himself, but I hate to see an old guy like Yau get played like that, being an underdog and all. And although everyone was pissed at our little party at Earl for voting Yau Man off, I knew he did what he had to do. It didn't take rocket science to know that if Yau Man were there in the final, he'd have won it for sure. However, I was a little afraid that Dreamz may have won the million because he had so many friends on the jury. Until of course the first one of them asked Earl who told him Mookie had the other hidden idol and he said Dreamz. Then I knew Earl was a shoe-in to win! And win he did by setting a record clean sweep vote! That was so cool! I was wanting either Yau Man or Earl to win, so I was needless to say, very happy with the outcome. And I just know in my heart of hearts that Earl and Yau will most definitely be friends for life, as Earl said.

So next fall we'll see the new crew of Survivors in China. It looks like it's going to be interesting. I really wish they'd do a series up on the Arctic Tundra. It would be somewhat similar to Survivor Africa, where there was very little vegetation. They'd have to live in the land of the midnight sun, like the Eskimos do, because I certainly couldn't see them up there in the winter months when all is dark and frigidly freezing! But the summer months they'd have to deal with the gobs of pesky mosquitoes, and hunting for food may not be as easy as on these tropical locations. Well, there are fish to be caught, so it's not like they would likely starve. I think it would make for a very interesting series.

Survivor is on!

Survivor Fiji is on and they're down to six, and it appears that Boo is on the chopping block if he doesn't win immunity.

The reward challenge is just about to start, and they're playing for a Ford F350 truck. It's pretty sexy for a truck! Dreamz really wants to win this, because he said he's the only one there without a vehicle. But he doesn't have a drivers license either! Two teams of 3 -- Yau Man, Stacy and Boo versus Earl Cassandra and Dreamz. The first team is having a hard time. Yau Man in particular. Oh! They caught up and won the first leg of the challenge so they go on. No truck for Dreamz! Oh my God!!!! Yau Man wins!!! But wait, he wants to make a deal now.... with Dreamz!!! Yau Man, what are you doing?????!!! He just gave Dreamz the truck on the condition that if they get to the final four together that if Dreamz wins immunity at that point he'll give it to Yau Man. Dreamz of course agreed and I think Yau Man just lost a truck, cuz it's not a binding deal. Oh geez Yau Man!

Now Yau Man has sent himself to Exile Island on top of it! He must be lacking nutrition and not thinking straight! God, he says he's surprised that Dreamz said yes to his offer. Is he on drugs or something? Of course he'd say yes... there is nothing to bind him to his offer. He's got the truck and thats all that matters to him!

Oh cool, now Dreamz and Stacy get to take a whole crate load of school supplies to a little school. As well as a remote teaching office for the teachers. I love when they do stuff like this!

So Dreamz is talking to Cassandra now, and he tells the camera that he will give Yau Man immunity when they get to the final four, should that happen. But his plan is to get rid of Yau Man before they get to that point. See Yau Man. You have to remember everyone is out for themselves now!

Okay, here we go... immunity challenge. Gotta have balance for this one... good luck Yau Man! Ha! They just fuzzed out Stacy's mouth as she said Fuck! Stacy and Cassandra are out now. Second round... Yikes! Yau Man falls off and does a face dive into the stand! Yau Man and Boo moving on now to the final! Boo's leading. Yau Man struggling. Boo wins immunity! Hmm, wonder who will go now. Will it be Yau Man? Will he play his hidden idol if it is him? I hope Dreamz or Stacy goes.

Now the conniving will start! This is going to be interesting. Now Yau Man, who has the three clues for the other hidden immunity idol is sharing the clues with Earl, so they're looking for it now, and hope to find it by tribal council. Wow! Earl just found it! Yippee! I really want either of these two to win the game.

Dreamz and Stacy are talking to Cassandra. They want to vote Yau Man. But Cassandra I think is having thoughts that this isn't a good idea. It's not girl! Yau Man thinks they're voting Stacy off. I hope Cassandra talks to Earl and they flip that and vote off Dreamz. Oh, Yau Man told Earl he has bad vibes. You should Yau Man! Don't trust Dreamz and Stacy!

Tribal council time. What a smug looking bunch on the jury. Alex has some nasty flat head happening, considering he's been able to have showers and wash that lid of his! Voting time! Yau Man votes Stacy. Dreamz votes Yau Man and they don't show any of the others. Damn! Whew!!! Yau Man plays the hidden immunity idol! Thank goodness!! I hope this works! 1st vote Stacy, Yau Man (doesn't count now), Stacy, Yau Man (doesn't count), Yau Man (doesn't count). And Stacy goes home! Thank God you played that idol Yau Man! So long Stacy! Now you can look smug in the jury too!

Sunday night is the finale!! Go Yau Man!

Amazing Race All Stars -- the race is over

As you know, I'm a big fan of Reality TV, and tonight was the finale for The Amazing Race All Stars. Well, I've been watching it for the past hour, and guess what folks? It's all over now. The race is finished, they've reached their final destination and we have a winning team!

I was undecided over the past week on who I wanted to win. The Beauty Queens or Barbie Dolls, Kandice and Dustin; Eric and Danielle; or Charla and Mirna, aka Meerna and Schmeerna. I wasn't really ever routing for any of these teams, not during this race, or on the previous races they ran. It was really hard to pick a team that I would like to win from this final three, as all of them really, when you think about it, ran a good race, and played a smart game. Hey, they all managed to oust out that conniving due of Rob and Amber! I've always been one for the underdog type of teams or people. So with that in mind, in the end I was routing for Charla. Not necessarily Mirna, because she simply annoys me, but I did have a soft spot for Charla, and often felt sorry for her with Mirna squawking at her to hurry all the time. Her little legs went so fast, and sheesh, she had to take way more steps than any of the others. And when I think back over both this race and their previous race, there is absolutely nothing that Charla can't do. She can do a hell of a lot more than me when it comes to courage. I could never have walked around the perimeter of Macau Tower in Macau China, and then to have to jump off it, whether you're tethered or not, my fear of heights would just prohibit me from going out on that observation deck period, but Charla practically ran around that tower and plummeted from it without any hesitation! But for me to choose Charla to win, I had to include Mirna also. They're a team, and I didn't have any control over that.

While watching tonight's show, I was excited when Charla and Mirna had a lead over the other two teams. Then I was pissed when both teams ended up passing them while running over that rock bed on the beach. Charla definitely had a disadvantage on those rocks with those little legs. I was really hoping they would catch up to at least second place during the kayaking out to the shipwreck, since Kandice and Dustin were having such a hard time. Unfortunately the waves caused them a lot of problems, and the Barbies managed to pull their shit together. Then I had more hope when they were doing the row boarding. Charla was awesome during that, but like she said, stay low, and she's a natural at that! Too bad her dippy cousin Mirna couldn't get in the groove and do that task better. They might have had a chance then. And then, the last task I thought for sure that out of all three teams, that Charla and Mirna would have been on the same wavelength for answering the questions about other players, in order to open that box. But again, no luck there. Last chance was the taxi ride to the San Francisco Botanical Garden -- the final destination for this race. It really was anybodys race at that point. When Eric and Danielle kept getting all those red lights I was cheering! But Dustin and Kandice were getting all the green lights. Crap! Where's Charla and Mirna? There they are, in their taxi, telling the driver they'll give him all the money they have if he gets them there the fastest way. I was screaming at that driver to hurry! I tend to really get into these shows when I'm watching them!

A taxi pulls up to the Botanical Garden, and we see Phil and all the other teams cheering. Who's coming first? Is it Charla and Mirna? Nope, it's Eric and Danielle. Crap! Then Dustin and Kandice run in, and they both tear up because they didn't win. Give me a break! Along comes Charla and Mirna. They placed last. But it's not really last, is it? No, they placed third out of eleven teams. Not bad at all. Way to go Charla! Give yourself a huge pat on the back, because you go girl!

I suppose it's okay really that Eric and Danielle won. I'm glad it wasn't Dustin and Kandice. Those two girls won lots of prizes on this race and their first race, so they definitely aren't going away empty-handed. Eric and Danielle managed to win this race after being yielded two times, both essentially by Dustin and Kandice. They managed to beat the clock when they were marked for elimination. Overall I suppose they weren't really particularly nasty to the other teams, which I can't really say that for everyone. Yeah, it's okay they won.

Now what will I watch on Sunday nights?

Survivor Fiji

Did you catch tonight's episode of Survivor Fiji? Woohoo for Yau-Man winning immunity! He's the man!! And then, I was literally giddy during Tribal Council! Watching the faces of the "Four Horsemen" was just hilarious! They were totally duped, and it was just way too funny! Best of all, Alex used their hidden immunity idol, which was really cool, since it was the first time ever it has ever been used, and even more cool that it was wasted! Too much! Those grins on the other's faces were priceless as they were secretly snickering about how they voted! Earl was cracking me up with his big-assed grin! I loved, loved, loved it!! Can't wait to talk about it at work tomorrow, and I especially can't wait for next week's show!

Oh, and buh-bye Edgardo!! One horseman gone... three to go! ;-)

Rob and Amber are GONE!!!

Oh my GOD!!!!! Did you catch the latest episode for the Amazing Race All Stars tonight? I am so happy, happy, happy!! The evil Rob and Amber are gone!!! I can't believe it. Someone pinch me so I know it's true!!! They came in last, and I was sure that Phil was going to say, "but I'm happy to tell you that you have not been eliminated", but he didn't!! It was an elimination round, and they're gone, gone, gone!!!

Charla and Mirna came in just before them. I was never so happy to see that happen. Don't get me wrong though. I'd love to strangle Mirna with the way she carries on, and how she's always yelling at poor little Charla, but I'll take them over Rob and Amber any day!

Some of the letters the teams got from past competitors were funny to hear. Especially the ones where they weren't liked... Charla and Mirna, Rob and Amber, the Barbies! Rob and Amber's letter said they hoped they were starving and in last place. How ironic is that?! I love it!!

Woohoo!!! Let the race begin!!!

I'm sorry if I have spoiled this for any of you living in a different time zone, but I'm just too damned excited not to blog about it right now!

Survivor Fiji

Wow! I think Rita was pretty shocked when she was voted off Survivor Fiji last night. Did you hear her rambling on to Michelle about how she looks high maintenance, but she's not? Just a little lip gloss and she's ready to go! And this guy calls her up and asks her out to lunch, blah, blah, blah... I feel sorry for the guys of the Ravu tribe, because she was making me crazy with her babbling. I think she just talks to hear herself, because who really gives a shit!

That reward challenge was insane I think! The poor Ravu tribe is made up of such light-weights compared to the Moto tribe, and even more so now since they're bloody starving! And that platform was full of slippery mud after the first two went head to head, how could any of them get any kind of grip to try to fight back? Woohoo for Yauman though -- he showed Stacy he's a man by being the only Ravu member to knock one of them off the platform! Go Yahman! I think Rocky is losing it a little with lack of nourishment? He was really pissed at Dreamz when they started the challenge.

Then I was really hoping the Ravu tribe would win the immunity challenge, with it not being a physical challenge. It was so close, and I can't help but feel sorry for Rocky for screwing it up, and Moto taking the win -- again! You could tell he was sick about it too, and I know if I were in his shoes I would have been sick about it too.

It looks like we have no Survivor next week, or at least not a new episode. I wonder if they will be showing a re-cap show? I do know that I'll be waiting impatiently for the 21st to get here to see what happens next, because from the looks of the preview, there is some kind of shake up between the tribes! That should be interesting!

Amazing Race All Stars

Well people, what can I say about Sunday's Amazing Race All Stars show? Arrrrrghhhh!!! Rob and Amber came in first again! When will this insanity end?

Danielle was being just a tad dramatic with those fish, don't you think? Toughen up princess! And I can't believe that Teri and Ian have teamed up with the Barbies!! Those girls will use and abuse them! I think Ian is just thinking with his parts instead of his head! You think he'd know how to read people better, after working as a detective. Oh well, at least he's not as jerky as he was the first time they raced with all his nagging to Teri to hurry up. I was really hoping the Barbies might have been eliminated, since they missed that one clue box and had to go back.

Farewell to David and Mary. I knew they were going to be out much quicker than the last time they raced. It seemed to me that Mary kept screwing up by getting David to do the wrong thing or take the wrong turn this time.

Well, I hope next Sunday brings someone else in first other than the smug Rob and Amber!

Survivor Fiji

Wow, this season's Survivor is just full of twists, isn't it? I really liked this last episode, where the winning tribe had to choose between immunity and comfort. But hello! I can't believe the Moto tribe choose comfort over immunity! Would it have killed them to have to stay at the Ravu beach for one stinking night? No, I don't think so! It's better than having to stay at that creepy Exile Island for a night! And then they still choose comfort with having to lose a tribe member! Stupid! They already lost poor Papa Smurf, and I can't remember which tribe member said after Gary was evacuated that they really needed immunity on the next challenge, otherwise that would bring them down another member and make them even with Ravu. I know it was one of the guys, but I just don't remember exactly which one it was. Anyway, why the hell didn't he stand on his words and speak up when they had the choice. Geesh! Not that I was real sad to see Liliana go though. Well, now it's an even game, other than the fact they still have all the comforts, but I hope from now on that Ravu starts kicking some serious butt! I think Moto deserves it after that!

Amazing Race Allstars

So Rob and Amber came in first again. I think I'm going to puke! You know, watching Kevin and Drew was making me a little angry. Is Drew the taller one? He was driving me crazy. Like get a move on buddy, it's a RACE! But then, at the end when they got eliminated, all of a sudden I felt really sorry for them, and him in particular. Maybe I'm getting soft. Nah, I would have been cheering and doing the happy dance if it were Rob and Amber! Oh the dream!

Amazing Race... watch it?

Did you catch the new Amazing Race all stars last night? I can't tell you how steamed I was when Rob and Amber came in first. They just irritate the snot out of me. I couldn't stand Rob from the first time he was on Survivor. He's such an irritating jerk. And they are so friggin' full of themselves. Did you catch Amber raving on about how everyone wants to race against them? Give me a break! Everyone wants you gone honey! I loved it when -- I can't remember if it was John Vito or Eric -- said, America has had enough of Rob and Amber. I couldn't agree more!

Now I missed the whole first season. I don't know how that happened, but I was completely in the dark about it until after it was finished. Anyway, that makes this the first time I ever saw a couple of the teams race. Drew and Kevin, were one of those teams. What's up with that Drew? Why can't he run? Is there something wrong with him that he can't run? I thought for sure they were going to be out when he fell down and was a little on the dramatic side about it. Good lord, get up and get running dude! You really have to toughen up Princess!

Anyway, it looks like it's going to be a good show... as long as Rob and Amber go quick! ;-)

Amazing Race All-Stars!

I'm so happy the Amazing Race is starting up again this Sunday night. I love that show! And it's an All-Stars show too. Very cool! I've just been checking out the couples for this season's race, and I'm so happy to see David and Mary back from last season. I told you I always go for the underdogs! I see the Barbie Dolls are back from last season too. How er, nice. (gagging)

Oh, Charla and Mirna are back too. Charla was so cool, and at a mere four feet tall, could that girl go or what? Her cousin Mirna is a little bit nerve grating, mind you. And doesn't it just figure that Amber and Boston Rob are back too. I wonder if Rob pays to be on all these shows? Well, I hope they're outwitted quickly! Enough already with "America's Sweethearts"! (more gagging)

Anyway, I can't wait for Sunday night's show! On your mark, get set, GO!!!!

Olivia

Moto wins again!

Did you catch last nights episode of Survivor Fiji? Wow, I thought for sure Sylvia was a goner, but Erica really cooked her goose with her freak out session on the challenge! I was so routing for them too! I've always been one to cheer for the underdogs, and I thought Ravu had it in the bag because they had such a great lead over Moto, but blew it at the end. Was it really Erica's fault? I don't know. I mean she was pretty disruptive to the rest of the tribe with her freaking, and I think that would have unnerved me too if I had been there, so I guess in essence, she did have a big part of the responsibility for them losing. Did you hear Sylvia tell her to calm down, and the look she flashed her when she did? I don't think she liked that. Oh well. It was nice of her to find the pineapples for them before she left though. Imagine them being right under their noses for six days while they were dehydrating and starving! I have to wonder where their water is though. They have to have some sort of fresh water supply around them. I can't imagine the show letting them go there without water somewhere close by.

And then there's Earl off at that freaky Exile Island. I just about puked when he slammed that snake! Oh my God! I don't know how much I can take of those snakes this season. I'm going to have to start shutting my eyes and only listening when they show scenes from Exile.
