Laura Gainey search called off

How sad this tragic story is. Laura Gainey, a 25 year old woman venturing out on a sailing adventure of a lifetime on the tall ship, Picton Castle, was swept off ship by a large wave last Friday about 700 kilometers off the coast of Cape Cod. Predictions were that Gainey being a strong swimmer would be able to survive in the 20°Celsius waters for about 36 hours. An ongoing search has officially been called off by the US Coast Guard as of today.

My condolences to Laura's father Bob Gainey, his other two daughters and one son on this terrible loss. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sadness.
