Prizes for you too!

I was telling you all yesterday about winning a prize at work. Well, I don't want you all to feel left out by not winning your own prize, so I'm going to tell you how you too, can be a winner! And these prizes you could win are much better than my prize I won at work.

First of all you head over to whogets.com and sign up for a free membership. Then, you find a prize you'd like to win and enter the whogets.com free sweepstakes for that prize. Then if you make it to the semi-final round, which you will be notified by email if you do, you get to do a posting of why you should be declared the winner. The other members at whogets will then decide based on the posts who that winner will be. In other words, "who gets" to win that prize! Pretty cool, huh?!

Paid to blog and prizes too!

So it's no news to any of you regular readers here that I some of my posts are blog for money posts. It definitely helps to pay the bills -- there is no doubt there. And any of you that have been following my blog, or know anything about blogging for money know thatPayPerPost is probably the biggest such company on the Internet that offers these opportunities. They have quite a diverse, and constantly growing list of advertisers that buy blogger created advertising. Their pay scale per posting can be quite high if your blog has the power of a good page rank, Alexa and Technorati scores. Plus you need PayPerPosts own tack ratings to be high. All of this puts you in a higher league of paid blogging, which is something I hope to build up to.

At any rate, PayPerPost is also a fun company to blog for, because they quite often have different contests and giveaways for their bloggers
(more lovingly called "Posties"). Currently, for this month they have a promo running every Tuesday, which they are calling "HDTV Tuesdays". They've managed to get some really cool prizes donated from Bid4Prizes and they're giving them away to posties every Tuesday this month. This is great for the posties in the USA, but as you know, I'm in Canada, so while I can still make some money blogging, I can't win any of those prizes. That sucks, but whatcha gonna do?

So tomorrow, being Tuesday, my fellow posties in the States will have the chance to snag themselves either a Slingbox, a Nintendo Wii, a Yamaha Surround Sound System or a Logitech universal remote. Lucky posties! I know my nephew sure would have loved for me to win a
Wii, because I would have given it to him! Maybe I should consider moving south.

Who gets what?

Have you heard about this web site whogets.com where there are sweepstakes contests going on all the time? It looks pretty cool. They have all kinds of prizes from DVDs and MP3 players to bedroom linen sets, shoes and toys. You start off entering to win a prize, and then seven people will be selected from all the entrants, and for the final contest they will have to write a statement about why they really need that prize. I was reading some of these statements on some of the current final contests. What a hoot! I wish I could vote, but that location thing has me again, being in Canada. Oh well, it's still fun to check out, and dream that I could win some lovely things if I lived in the US!

Lowest bid wins!

Okay, everyone knows how an auction works. You bid on an item, and if you're the highest bid at close (pending the reserve, if any has been met) you win the auction. Well how about a reverse auction? Yes, reverse, as in if you're the lowest bid, you win the prize! Does that not sound like fun?

If you go to Bid4Prizes, you will find this fun reverse auction game where you can win some really cool free gifts. Wouldn't you love to win a 61" HDTV? All you have to do is have the lowest unique bid at the close of the auction to win. So say you win this auction with your lowest unique bid being $48.73. It's really that simple, and get this... you don't even have to pay the $48.73. All you pay is the shipping costs, and of course because this is like winning a sweepstake, the IRS may want their share too. Okay, I know nobody likes to pay any more to the IRS than they have to, but if you weigh the odds of what you'd have to bid on eBay to win a TV like this with a high bid plus shipping, well hands down the better deal is at Bid4Prizes. There are all kinds of different prizes like laptops, iPhones, digital cameras, a nice Dolce & Gabbana designer handbag, and even a Scion XB!! Wow! And they're also giving away a cash prize as well. Cash is always a welcomed win in my books!

The only thing that makes me sad about this game, is that you have to live in the USA, so that counts me out. So good luck to all my friends in the US! I'll be cheering for you!
